Light from the forest.

The forests and mountains of Palawan are home to many treasures and secrets of those who live there. One of these is the sahing, a beautiful and fragrant tree which, for thousands of yeas, has provided many indigenous Filipino people with a source of light in the evenings. The sap can be tapped and then collected once it has dried on the surface of the tree bark. It is wrapped in leaves so that it burns slowly with a bright, glowing flame.
