Rodi lives in Labtay, a small village on the West coast of Palawan, with his wife and three sons. They are Tagbanuas – part of a group of indigenous people who have inhabited Palawan for thousands of years. Rodi’s father is a babaylan - a shaman central to Tagbanua spiritual life - and Rodi was brought up to be passionate about his native culture and beliefs.  Although they now live side by side with Christian immigrants, Rodi and his family are adamant to continue with their traditional Tagbanua way of life.
