Spear Fishers, west coast of Palawan.
Fishing is a way of life for Rodi and his ten-year-old son, Pipoy. Almost every day they paddle out to sea in their bancas, small wooden boats. Sometimes they come home with very little – some shells or just enough fish to feed themselves and the rest of the family. Other times they are lucky and may bring back groupers, small sharks, octopus, clams or spiny lobsters to sell in the village.
